We're happy to have Finley back, and are more-or-less ready to get back to reality. Meanwhile, apparently it's 3:00 pm here.

Great day here, walked a LOT, and saw more. Such a beautiful city! Ridiculously good food everywhere, great buildings as far as the eye can see, parks, gardens, etc. etc. etc...
Have been incredibly lucky with weather, too--60s and sunny most days on the trip, with few exceptions. Loving it here!
Normandy is more beautiful than we expected. We were pretty tired yesterday, so didn't do much--viewed the Bayeux Tapestry (amazing), and dinner (also great). Today, we toured some of the D-Day sites, including the man-made harbor at Arromanches, Omaha Beach, the American Cemetery, and Pointe-du-Hoc. Wow. All were incredible to see, but the American Cemetery was particularly impressive and moving.
The villages in the area are picture perfect, and the weather was equally perfect today. We are loving Normandy. Tomorrow, le Mont-Saint-Michel.
We've seen several times on CNN International the fire situation west of Boulder. We hope for the best, although the news doesn't look too good right now. Our hearts go out to those who have lost...
Pictured is the Mirabell Gardens and the Hohensalzburg fortress (in the distance, looming over the city), both of which we visited today. Tomorrow, we're off to Hallstatt. Austria has been a treat so far!
Great food so far, too--the Germans have certainly perfected sausage, potatoes, and the like.
We're really enjoying everything so far. Southern Germany is a beautiful place. Until next time, good night!
